A month after the devastating fire in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana, the Valais public prosecutor's office has expanded its investigation to include a fourth person. The current head of the municipality's public safety department will be questioned as a suspect next Friday. His lawyers, Nicolas Rivard and Frédéric Pitteloud, confirmed a report by the French-language Swiss broadcaster RTS to the Keystone-SDA news agency on Friday.
The prosecutor's office is now targeting the security chief of Crans-Montana four weeks after the devastating fire disaster.
The recordings of the calls to 144 show the tragic scale of the fire at the Constellation.
The current fire safety officer of the city was placed under criminal investigation, after the fire of the bar which killed 40 people on New Year's Eve. He will be heard on 6 February by the Valais Public Prosecutor's Office.
