Fire destroys home north of Virginia

SANDY TOWNSHIP — A mobile home was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning. The blaze was reported on the 7300 block of Oberg Road, about 13 miles north of Virginia, shortly after 9 a.m., according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office. Upon arrival, responders found half of the home "consumed by fire," and it was deemed a total loss. No one was home at the time, the Sheriff's Office reported.
