Another day with multiple forest fires, fire brigade extra alert

Some fires remained small thanks to the attentiveness of bystanders. For example, a fire in Uddel, Gelderland, was quickly extinguished thanks to an attentive taxi driver who called the fire brigade.

A fire broke out in a part of the forest above Karneid. Already from a distance a smoke column could be detected, which ascended into the sky.The volunteer fire brigades of Kardaun-Karneid, Eggen and Gummer as well as the forest service are currently busy with the extinguishing work.The exact extent of the damage is not yet available.
