A new fire appeared to break out in the buffer zone near Kaimakli and Aglantzia at midday on Saturday, with black smoke visible from parts of Nicosia. There has so far been no official update from the Fire Service. It is the second fire to break out in the buffer zone area within a few hours, after the Fire Service responded on Friday to extinguish a blaze at a nearby location.
