Rajasthan Minister Faces FIR Over Alleged Abusive Remarks to Police
On Friday, authorities booked Rajasthan Minister Gautam Dak for allegedly abusing and threatening police personnel at Dungla Police Station, registering an FIR under Sections 132 and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita .
The FIR details a Monday incident where Station House Officer Shaitan Singh received a call from Dak, who allegedly summoned the constables and then hurled abusive remarks at the officers in public view.
This confrontation stemmed from an investigation into Dhanraj Kharol, whom police had summoned for questioning; Dak allegedly boasted about securing Laxminarayan's prior transfer from Badi Sadri as intimidation.
Categorically denying the allegations in a video statement, Dak rejected the viral recording as fabricated, claiming, "This is a deliberate attempt to defame me."
Legal proceedings follow the emergence of the audio clip on social media, with officials continuing to investigate Dak's alleged use of criminal force and threats against officers performing official duties.
