The poisonous spiny toad has spread further from the southwestern coast of Finland than before. According to Suomen Luonto, the species was found in Porkkalanniemi in late summer of this year. The previous closest locations were in the Hanko region. The bite of an alien can cause severe pain, but cases of bites on humans are still quite rare.
