HELSINKI - Finland will end financial support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio announced, according to Finnish public broadcaster Yle.
Finland definitively cancels funding for UNRWA and terminates the remainder of the four-year agreement. Helsinki, however, promises that aid to the Palestinians will not end completely.
