Finger Lakes man beat neighbor, shot at police and barricaded himself before arrest, troopers say
Waterloo, N.Y. — A man broke into his neighbor’s mobile home, beat him and stole his firearms before shooting at police, barricading himself in the neighbor’s home and later firing at propane tanks, troopers said. Around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, state police and the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault at 890 Waterloo Geneva Road, Lot 11, in the town of Waterloo, troopers said during a morning news conference.
