Final Punishments Have Been Handed Down for the Plundered Forest Due to the Ski Slope Below Klínovec
A fine of one million crowns for the city company Lesy Jáchymov and one hundred thousand crowns for its former executive Robert Marschner is the final punishment for the plundered forest below the Klínovec peak in the Ore Mountains. The Regional Court in Pilsen made the final decision on Tuesday in an appeal.
The Regional Court in Pilsen changed the judgment of the Karlovy Vary District Court and recognized that the construction of Lesy Jáchymov between the Klínovec and Neklid areas is a forest road, not a ski slope. It therefore significantly reduced the fines that the district court imposed on the company from 9.5 million to one million crowns, and on the former executive from 400,000 to 100,000 crowns.
