50 people become citizens at Canada Day ceremony in Thunder Bay
This Canada Day was a special one for 50 people in Thunder Bay who took their citizenship oaths on the country's 158th birthday. People and families from from 15 different countries became Canadian citizens at a ceremony in the Spirit Garden in Thunder Bay on Tuesday.
Vaughan holds citizenship ceremony to welcome new Canadians
On July 1, the City of Vaughan hosted a citizenship ceremony for 49 new Canadians at Vaughan City Hall – marking the final step in their journey to become citizens. Participants took the oath of citizenship, a deeply symbolic and meaningful moment, as they embrace their new Canadian identity. This ceremony was brought to Vaughan City Hall as part of a Member’s Resolution introduced by Mayor Steven Del Duca in October 2024.
