Meet the 296 GT Modificata: Ferrari's Latest Track Special
Ferrari says the model’s 730 cv V6 and revised aerodynamics deliver more consistent performance for track-day customers.
- On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Ferrari presented the 296 GT Modificata during Ferrari Racing Days in Budapest, Hungary, a track-only two-seater designed for non-competitive events within the Club Competizioni GT program.
- At its heart, the Modificata features a 2,992cc engine producing 730 cv—130 cv more than the GT3 Evo—because it remains unconstrained by Balance of Performance regulations that restrict the racing variant.
- Ferrari reworked aerodynamics with a new Slotted Splitter and redesigned rear wing featuring a larger 5mm Gurney flap, while redesigned cooling ducts improve braking thermal management during extended track use.
- Despite its racing focus, the Modificata includes two seats, integrated communication, and professional harnesses, making it intended exclusively for track days and Club Competizioni GT program participation.
- The 2027 Club Competizioni GT calendar spans seven events across Jerez , Misano Adriatico , Fuji , Indianapolis , Paul Ricard , Spa-Francorchamps , and Finali Mondiali Ferrari.
