Marcus Rashford Gets Last Man United Transfer Hope as Barcelona Star Eyes Move
FC Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has requested a move to PSG after agreeing personal terms, as the club also prepares for the departures of other key players.
On Saturday, Aug. 8, forward Ferran Torres informed Barcelona he wants to join Paris Saint-Germain after agreeing to personal terms with the French club, according to ESPN.
The 26-year-old has one year remaining on his Barcelona contract and seeks to reunite with Luis Enrique, his former Spanish national team coach, now at PSG.
Torres scored the winning goal in Spain's 1-0 World Cup final victory over Argentina last month and has recorded 65 goals across 207 appearances for Barcelona.
Barcelona's departure of Torres would accelerate the club's search for a No. 9 following the exits of Robert Lewandowski to Chicago Fire and Marcus Rashford to Manchester United.
Talks between the two clubs are expected to begin as Barcelona awaits PSG's first offer, with the back-to-back Champions League winners seeking to strengthen their squad this summer.
The British team will take over the entire record of the Uruguayan power plant and the Valencian thinks it deserves a higher status than the Blaugrana club can offer.
The only scorer in the last World Cup final, Ferran Torres, is close to a move to PSG, where he would work with his former coach Luis Enrique again, according to Spanish and French media. Barcelona are reportedly still waiting for an official offer from Paris Saint-Germain for the Spanish striker.
