Feral animals bill advances - Hawaii Tribune-Herald

HAWAII COUNTY, JUL 24 – Bill 51 aims to reduce feral cat colonies on county lands with fines up to $500 for repeat offenders, passing its first reading despite opposition from most testifiers.

A bill that would ban the feeding of feral or stray animals such as cats or pigs on Hawaii County property passed its first reading Wednesday by the County Council, despite opposition by a large majority of in-person testifiers.
