A dozen hooligans with lengthy rap sheets terrorized an East Harlem NYCHA complex for three years, brazenly hawking deadly drugs such as fentanyl and the even-more-powerful nitazene in plain view, federal authorities alleged Wednesday.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York Field Chief Ricky J. Patel jointly announced on December 17 that law enforcement had successfully dismantled an open-air drug trafficking ring operating along Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights and filed charges against 16 defendants.
