- Project developer Coastal Bend LNG LLC plans to add liquefaction trains capable of producing 19.2 million tons annually near Corpus Christi at the existing Enbridge Ingleside Energy Center, which now operates primarily as a crude oil storage and marine export hub.
- Both projects qualify for expedited regulatory review under Title 41 of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act, according to approval letters, with Coastal Bend targeting a March 2027 formal application and Sempra aiming for July 2027.
- Following a record-breaking 2025 when U.S. LNG exports reached 111 million tons, the two proposed plants are engineered to add a combined 46.2 million tons per year of LNG export capacity along the Texas Gulf Coast.
