Federal prosecutors to seek death penalty against Winter Springs carjacking, drug ring suspect

The U.S. Department of Justice is planning to seek the death penalty against one of the suspects in a drug ring and carjacking that led to a woman’s death in 2024. Prosecutors say Jordanish Torres-Garcia was the one who held Katherine Aguasvivas at gunpoint in the shocking carjacking that took place in Winter Springs.
