FCT CP narrates how man died in hotel with married woman, staff dump body on road side
Police said a married woman and two hotel staff are under investigation after the body was removed from a room and dumped by a roadside.
- On Saturday, FCT Commissioner of Police Ahmed Sanusi announced the arrest of Mrs Rukayat Muhammed and two hotel workers in connection with a man's death following discovery of his body near the Katampe Bridge.
- Investigators traced the deceased's final movements to the Good Samaritan Guest House on Second Avenue, Gwarimpa, where Muhammed, in a romantic relationship with the man, had saved his contact as "Safiyat" on her phone.
- Muhammed allegedly left the hotel with the deceased's mobile phone after finding him unresponsive, while hotel workers Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus subsequently removed the body and dumped it along the Kubwa Expressway.
- Initially suspected to be a possible "one chance" case, the incident shifted when the missing phone provided a critical lead confirming the deceased was the person whose family had reported him missing.
- Commissioner Sanusi stressed that the cause of death remains under investigation and warned that anyone found to have played a role in the death, or in concealment and abandonment of the body, will face the law.
