CINCINNATI, JUL 17 – FC Cincinnati shut out Inter Miami 3-0 to end Lionel Messi's record five-game multi-goal streak, with Evander scoring his 14th goal of the season, coach Pat Noonan said.
- Wednesday night FC Cincinnati shut out Inter Miami 3-0 in Cincinnati, ending Lionel Messi's MLS-record multi-goal streak at five matches.
- Coming into the match, Inter Miami was on a five-match winning streak at 11-4-5 in the Eastern Conference.
- FC Cincinnati neutralized Inter Miami's Messi-led attack to preserve the shutout, played without second-leading scorer Kevin Denkey, and saw Evander score early in the second half.
