FBI scouring roadways in Catalina Foothills in search for Nancy Guthrie
Hundreds of agents follow thousands of tips and surveillance of an armed suspect in an expanding search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, missing since Jan. 31.
- On Wednesday, FBI Phoenix agents conducted an extensive search along multiple roadways in the Catalina Foothills near Nancy Guthrie's home northeast of Tucson.
- Last seen shortly before 10 p.m. on January 31, Nancy Guthrie, 84-year-old, has been missing since February 1, and authorities consider her likely abducted, the Pima County Sheriff's Department says.
- Investigators detailed evidence showing a black glove recovered about a mile and a half from the home, blood droplets outside the front door with DNA match to Guthrie, and doorbell footage of a masked individual with backpack and apparent holster.
- Investigators say that detained individuals were later released, tip lines received 18,000 calls including 4,000 in the last 24 hours, and the FBI offers a $50,000 reward at 1-800-CALL-FBI or 520-351-4900.
- Several hundred detectives are assigned to the Tucson investigation, and the White House urged the public to contact the FBI, encouraging tips on the case.
