- On Monday afternoon, 114-year-old Fauja Singh was struck by a Toyota Fortuner SUV on the Jalandhar-Pathankot highway near Bias village in Jalandhar district.

- Punjab Police investigators analysed broken headlight fragments to link the SUV, and reviewed CCTV footage between 3 pm and 4 pm to pinpoint the vehicle.
- Punjab Police arrested Amritpal Singh Dhillon on Tuesday night, with authorities claiming the case was solved in just 30 hours.
