Since Wednesday, May 14, 2025, civilian firefighters in the Grand Ponts region have started a campaign to raise awareness of the risk of drowning in the village of Tiaha, where 12 children died on Monday, April 21, 2025, by drowning after the capsizing of their motor boat. This campaign will extend to Jacqueville.
