Independent EspañolBOGOTÁ (AP) — A Colombian judge on Monday decided to convict the father of the indigenous children who survived 40 days in the Colombian jungle after a plane crash in 2023 of sexually abusing a family member.
The children survived with a package of cassava flour that was on the plane and wild fruits. After their rescue, they were placed in the custody of the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF).
The father of the minors was convicted of sexual abuse committed against his stepdaughter.
