Fatbeam Fiber Wins Federal Way School District Bid, Strengthening Local Footprint
The company will build a district-wide network for Federal Way Public Schools and resume residential fiber expansion in the city, officials said.
On Friday, Federal Way Public Schools selected Fatbeam Fiber through a competitive bid process to deliver a dedicated, district-wide fiber network under the federal E-Rate program.
Headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Fatbeam brings more than 15 years of experience supporting K-12 education, government, and healthcare institutions across infrastructure projects.
The new infrastructure will connect administrative facilities and school sites throughout the Federal Way area, supporting modern educational demands with scalable, resilient architecture aligned to the District's long-term growth.
In parallel, Fatbeam plans to resume expanding residential fiber service in Federal Way, aligning with the company's strategy to deliver connectivity directly to homes throughout the city.
This award strengthens Fatbeam's role as a trusted fiber partner across the Western United States, reinforcing its presence in Federal Way while solidifying its commitment to educational infrastructure.
