- Officials specifically addressed vulnerable communities in Faulder, Meadow Valley, and the Fish Lake area, urging residents to contact the RDOS Emergency Operations Centre for personalized support and guidance.
- To assist with the transition, the RDOS will provide online re-entry kits containing recovery information and details on accessing a new recovery resiliency centre for property owners.
- Senior manager of communications Erick Thompson noted re-entry plans must be 100 per cent ready for public safety, though some areas may open when infrastructure reaches 80 per cent perfection.
- Additionally, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District is hosting an online information session today, Friday, for Pear Lake wildfire evacuees to discuss re-entry planning and recovery efforts.
