UP: Newly-Wed Woman Murdered over Dowry, Husband's Family Stages It as Suicide
- Tanu Singh, a 24-year-old woman from Shikohabad, was found murdered and buried in a 10-foot pit outside her marital home in Faridabad nearly two months after her disappearance.
- Her father-in-law Bhoop Singh confessed to strangling her after dowry harassment, while her in-laws concealed the crime by reporting her missing and staging a suicide.
- The pit was dug under the pretense of street drainage by Arun Singh and Bhoop Singh, with family members Kajal and others present during the alleged murder.
