FAO Promotes Pre-Hispanic Agricultural Technique

In the context of World Biodiversity Day, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) incorporated the technique of pre-Hispanic cultivation of the metepantle in the mountainous and semi-arid areas of Tlaxcala into the important systems of the world agricultural heritage (Sipam) for preserving vital food and diversity of species in the Mexican countryside.
