Fan Attends Wrong St James' Park Football Stadium 366 Miles Away

On Tuesday the unnamed Barcelona supporter arrived at the wrong St James Park in Exeter, only realising the error at the turnstiles after travelling from London.
After typing St James Park into his phone, the supporter followed directions south to Exeter from London, with limited English complicating the exchange, Adam Spencer, Supporter Experience Officer at Exeter City, said.
Exeter City staff provided the supporter a ticket to watch Exeter City v Lincoln City under the lights, and Adam Spencer said 'He was pretty gutted and a bit embarrassed.'
Because he was in Exeter rather than Newcastle, the fan missed Barcelona's 1-1 draw at Newcastle thanks to a late Lamine Yamal penalty nearly 600 kilometres away.
As a human-interest moment, volunteers and club staff at Exeter City welcomed the supporter who, instead of five-time European champions, watched League One Exeter City host leaders Lincoln, and the club said 'He'd be welcome back any time.
