21yo Aussie Falls to His Death in London
The family has hired a private investigator, and an online fundraiser has raised almost $60,000 to help bring his body home.
The London Coroner has opened an inquest into the death of Fletcher Beasley, 21, who died on June 25 after falling from the Victoria Embankment in central London.
Beasley, a Queensland University of Technology law student and graduate of The Brisbane Boys College, was with his girlfriend and friends in the riverside area when the incident occurred.
Parents Matt and Katrina Beasley established the Fletcher Beasley Fund in their son's memory, which has raised more than $72,500 to support the investigation and bring him home.
Seeking "justice" and answers regarding the incident, the family stated the fund will also provide assistance to friends who were present in London at the time of his death.
Described by friends and family as "deeply generous, selfless and community-minded," the Brisbane man's loss leaves an immeasurable absence for all who knew him, according to his parents.
