Family courts see record rise in divorce cases

A record number of new family disputes were filed in Rawalpindi's family courts during the first quarter of 2025, from January 1 to March 31. A total of 1,451 new cases were registered, including disputes over alimony, child custody, dower (Haq Mehr), and return of dowry items.
