Vigil Brings Shreveport Community Together After Deadly Mass Shooting of 8 Children
Authorities said the shooting was a domestic incident that killed seven of the suspect’s children and another child, and wounded his wife and two other adults.
- On Sunday, Shamar Elkins killed eight children and wounded two adults in Shreveport, Louisiana, before dying following a police pursuit. The victims, ranging from 3 to 11 years old, included seven of Elkins' own children.
