‘Family Affair’ Star Johnny Whitaker Dishes on His 4 ‘Hail Mary Passes’ at 66
Whitaker says he is pursuing a memoir, a short film and a Portugal drug policy documentary while continuing charity work with children.
In a Women's World interview published Wednesday, former Family Affair star Johnny Whitaker, 66, discussed his 'now or never' approach, outlining four 'Hail Mary passes' defining his personal and professional goals.
Whitaker, who played Jody Davis on Family Affair from 1966 to 1971 alongside Brian Keith, Kathy Garver, Anissa Jones, and Sebastian Cabot, also noted his 28 years of long-term recovery from all mind-altering substances.
His current projects include a memoir, the short film Skye Bleu, and organizing cruises for fans and friends.
Fifty years after visiting Portugal to share a Gospel message, Whitaker now advocates for drug policy reform there while performing as Juanito El Bonito to sing and distribute gifts at orphanages.
Classic episodes of Family Affair remain available on streaming platforms including Tubi, Xumo Play, Pluto TV, Amazon Prime, Peacock, and FRNDLY TV.
