In the province of Alberta, nearly two hundred books are going to be banned in schools, including the vast dystopic novel by the Canadian author. A decision that she turns in derision in a short story published on X.
Among the 200 books of a sexual nature that will be removed from Alberta's public libraries in October is Margaret Atwood's dystopical bestseller, The Scarlet Servant. The 85-year-old novelist responded by publishing a short story online, where she ridiculed the province's conservative obedience authorities.
