NCAA Blacklists Fuji Musician, K1 De Ultimate
NNAMDI AZIKIWE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ABUJA, NIGERIA, AUG 7 – The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority blacklisted K1 De Ultimate for violating aviation security rules and obstructing a ValueJet flight, with two pilots suspended for related safety breaches.
- At Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, K1 De Ultimate tried to board Flight VK201 with a gold flask.
- On Wednesday, FAAN opened a probe into the artist’s conduct at Abuja airport, citing unruly behaviour as a violation of Nigerian aviation law and security rules.
- Refusing to comply, K1 De Ultimate continued drinking from the flask when staff requested inspection, with eyewitnesses saying he drank, prompting suspicion of alcohol and disrupting boarding.
- The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority blacklisted K1 De Ultimate from flying for six months, suspending two ValueJet pilots over the incident.
- Addressing the aviation sector, Keyamo ordered NCAA to notify all domestic and international airlines of the no-fly ban or risk licence revocation.
