F2 races rescheduled to Miami and Montreal in North American first

  • Formula Two confirmed on Thursday it will compete in Miami from May 1-3, followed by Montreal between May 22-24, integrating the series into upcoming Formula One Grand Prix weekends.
  • Geopolitical tensions in the Gulf involving Iranian and American actions prompted the cancellation of initial rounds in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia originally scheduled for the season.
  • Formula One reduced its calendar to 22 Grands Prix after the cancellations, preventing a lengthy hiatus since the next round would otherwise not occur until Monaco in early June.
  • Stefano Domenicali, Formula One Chief Executive, praised the effort: "It is going to be fantastic to restart the racing in a few weeks' time," highlighting collaborative success with Bruno Michel, Formula Two CEO.
  • Historic North American debut for Formula Two marks the series' first-ever competition in the region, with races incorporated into Formula One Grand Prix weekends alongside the season's return to Miami.
