An extreme heat warning was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. in effect until 10 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon, Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.The weather service adds, "Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 100 to 103 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness."
