The "White Giant" in Duisburg is one of the most notorious high-rise buildings in Germany. Residents report unsustainable conditions before the municipal election in NRW.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, a high-rise building steeped in history was brought down spectacularly. The blasting of the building was complex and was prepared for a long time. Water basins were also used.
In Duisburg-Hochheide the next skyscraper fell. The blasting went according to plan – nevertheless, there was trouble with four residents.
