Seeley said his Kings experience and player-development background will help strengthen the link between Abbotsford and Vancouver.
- On June 11, General Manager Ryan Johnson named Richard Seeley General Manager of the Abbotsford Canucks and Assistant General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks, positioning him to oversee both AHL and NHL operations.
- Previously, Seeley served eight seasons as general manager of the Ontario Reign, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, where the club missed the playoffs only once and achieved a franchise-best record of 47-20-3-2.
- Seeley brings extensive development experience, having previously hired coaches including Marco Sturm and Andrew Lord, plus John Wroblewski, who led Team USA to an Olympic gold medal in 2026.
