FAZER on Tuesday announced it will launch consultative negotiations over the fate of roughly two dozen jobs in its confectionery and million divisions, citing a “significant” rise in raw material prices – particularly cocoa – as well as the general economic uncertainty and changing consumer behaviour. The number of jobs in the confectionery division could be reduced by 14 and that in the milling division by 9.
