- The NSAs reviewed outcomes from BRICS Joint Working Groups on Counter-Terrorism and Communication Technologies, reaffirming commitment to combating terrorism and new technologies used by terrorist networks.
- Tensions surfaced between the UAE and Iran over the Gulf war when Iranian delegate Ghadir Nezamipour stated: "Attacks were launched from bases located on the territory of the United Arab Emirates."
- On the sidelines, Doval met with Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, on Tuesday to review bilateral projects. The meeting underscores deepening BRICS security cooperation.
