Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, King of Toro in western Uganda, has died at the age of 34, according to the kingdom's Prime Minister, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki. The monarch ascended the throne on September 12, 1995, following the death of his father at the age of three. At the time, he was considered the youngest king in the world.
King Oyo’s remains expected Thursday as Tooro prepares for final rites
The remains of the late Tooro King, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, are expected to arrive in Uganda on Thursday as the kingdom and government intensify preparations for his final rites. The body is expected to arrive at Entebbe International Airport from Nairobi at around 10am, according to Yunus Kakande, the Permanent Secretary
