EXCLUSIVE: Prince George Security Nightmare – 12-Year-Old Royal's New School at Center of Safety Scare After He's Announced as Latest Pupil
The 12-year-old royal had to sit the entrance exam and will join the boys-only boarding school after leaving Lambrook, officials said.
Kensington Palace confirmed earlier this week that Prince George of Wales will attend Eton College in September, relocating within Berkshire near his family home.
George is currently completing his education at Lambrook School, following the educational path of his father, Prince William, who attended Eton beginning in 1995.
Eton admits around 270 students annually with fees exceeding £63,000, or around $84,000 USD; an insider noted George received "no special treatment" and passed mandatory entrance exams.
The Wales family plans to spend most of the summer in Norfolk after George finishes school in early July, marking his 13th birthday celebration on July 22.
While Marlborough College was reportedly considered, George will begin boarding at Eton this fall, marking a significant transition into the next phase of his education.
Known for the traditions he has maintained for centuries, he has graduated 20 of the 58 UK prime ministers, including Boris Johnson and David Cameron. Annual tips are around 74,000 euros.
