Ex-NBA player, Fab Five member Jalen Rose is a fixture at the school that bears his name in Detroit
Jalen Rose frequently visits the high school in Detroit named after him, including the cafeteria that doubles as a basketball court.
The school is an open enrollment, tuition-free public school in Detroit, and Rose serves as board president and founder but works there without a paycheck.
Jazmine Allen, the school's principal and superintendent, confirmed Rose is regularly at the school and helps the community by providing free food.
Rose values giving back to the community, having also given an unpaid commencement speech at the University of Michigan.
