Everything to know about new BBC series Destination X as contestants revealed
NORTH YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND, JUL 22 – Thirteen contestants face a 32-day challenge across 11,000 km in Europe testing endurance, navigation, and teamwork for a £100,000 prize, BBC said.
- On July 30, Destination X, BBC One reality TV series, premieres on BBC One with 13 contestants, offering a £100,000 prize.
- The BBC positioned Destination X as a new glossy reality format, aiming to test mental and physical limits, as part of its strategy to create a major new hit.
- Contestants are eliminated by placing their X furthest from the target on the bus, and the series was filmed over 32 days by a crew of 190 traversing over 11,000 km across Europe.
- Rob Brydon said `I've never done a TV show on this scale before,` while Daren Parr brought experience from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and rowing the Atlantic.
- Each week, the series airs two episodes on Wednesdays and Thursdays, following a preview event in Hoxton, east London.
