In the past, canoes were made of wood, but now high school students are trying to make them from so-called lightweight concrete. Boats made of non-traditional materials were designed by eight teams from different parts of the Czech Republic as part of extracurricular activities. On Friday this week, the students competed in their creations at Prague's Šeberák pond. Watch the Novinek video to see how their unusual canoes stayed afloat.
