After the death this summer of a worker from the Servizo de Axuda no Fogar (SAF) while working in a house in the town of O Porriño, in which she had denounced a situation of allegedly sexual harassment by the man who ended his life, the Galician Executive undertook to draft a protocol to protect the workers of this service, "of a municipal nature", from "any kind of violence they may suffer", whether labor, physical, psychological or sexual.
To carry out an assessment of the risks in the homes - especially in those that may be most conflictive -, to provide for the accompaniment of professionals when necessary and to follow up on all the incidents that occur are some of the measures that the Xunta proposes in its proposal of protocol for the Servizo de Axuda no Fogar that it will transfer to the Galega Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
