Harmonised annual inflation in Lithuania reached 5.4 percent in July, the second highest in the European Union (EU), according to Eurostat data released on Wednesday.
Faster annual inflation in July was recorded only in Romania (8.2%), while slightly lower price growth was recorded in Cyprus and Bulgaria (4.4%). At the same time, the lowest annual price growth was recorded in Sweden (0.3%), the Czech Republic (1.3%), Denmark and Hungary (1.6%).
Annual inflation in the euro area was 2.9% in July. In Lithuania, annual inflation reached 5.4%, the second highest in the European Union (EU).
