BRUSSELS 29/06 (BELGA) The Belgian women’s basketball team have managed to extend their European title. The Belgian Cats won the European Cup final against Spain 65-67 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, Greece, on Sunday night, after a comeback in the closing seconds.
The Belgian women's basketball team defeated Spain 67:65 (18:19, 13:18, 18:15, 18:13) with a great finish and was crowned European champions for the second time in a row.
Maltreated by Spain, the Belgians snatched the victory in the final seconds thanks to an inextremis interception.
