The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) announced today that it has filed charges against six people on suspicion of being linked to criminal networks illegally importing goods from China into the European Union.
According to the European Public Prosecutor's Office, this is the largest seizure ever in the EU. The containers primarily contained e-bikes, textiles, and shoes, on which no or insufficient import duties and taxes had been paid. The total estimated value is €250 million.
