ISTANBUL, TURKEY, JUL 25 – European powers warn they may reinstate UN sanctions by end of August unless Iran resumes cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and addresses uranium stockpile concerns.
- Delegates from Germany, France and the United Kingdom met with Iran in Istanbul, according to Reuters, marking the first high-level talks since U.S. and Israeli strikes in June.
- After suspending cooperation with the IAEA following the June conflict, the E3 group threatened to trigger the snapback mechanism reinstating UN sanctions by the end of August.
