The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) allocated 295.5 million euros for the construction of Rail Baltic, of which 47.1 million euros will reach Estonia.
RB Rail AS, the consortium leading the Rail Baltica project, announced that the European Commission has awarded new funding worth €295.5 million through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) transport call for proposals. The allocation supports a wide range of construction and implementation activities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, marking another important step in the realization of the transnational high-speed rail project.
Another EUR 295.5 million in European Union (EU) support has been allocated to the Baltic States for the construction of the European railway track "Rail Baltica" - EUR 95 million is planned for Lithuania, Lithuanian Railways (LTG) announced on Friday.
